Shorts

Tonight's mail: Bitter Films, Vol. 2! And a birthday eve jury summons. Also lots of turkey coupons.

Animations by Lilli Carré. These are too slow, but lovely.

Like a Lantern just drifts, with no narrative, no characters, no stakes (plot: a nondescript man lays down a couple of times, and dreams). It's just nice. The sound makes it. And it was made on a Vandercook!

A few months ago drawings started appearing in the apartment hallways. This one popped up outside my door:

I thought he needed a companion.

They were both gone the next day.

A few days later a mermaid painted in a similar style appeared behind a doorway alongside a tag that said “FREE” — the obvious reply was a drawing of Ursala with a tag inscribed “$1,000,000” but alas the mermaid left as soon as she came and I never got the chance.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Rafting the Platte with John Francis Brueck.

Bru and I smilin Bru rows but truth be we have to walk alot of it

Currently in three sweaters and two pairs of socks and last night I slept under four sheets and two comforters. Drinking hot tea.
